The Ministry of Tourism has extended the deadline for the acquisition of the National Identification Code (CIN) by accommodation providers to January 1, 2025. This decision applies to all entities managing properties intended for short-term rentals, thus standardizing the previously set deadlines, which included two distinct dates: one for those who already had a Regional Identification Code and another for new entries into the national database.
The extension has been implemented to ensure fair treatment among various operators and to facilitate the operations of the online platforms involved in the CIN application process. Starting from January 1, 2025, penalties outlined by the regulations will come into effect for those who have not complied.
