A serious incident occurred in the Val di Breguzzo, where a 71-year-old climber, Angelo Goffi, a resident of Gavardo, lost his life while descending from Cima Agosta towards Malga D’Arnò. The accident took place in the afternoon when Goffi, accompanied by two friends, slipped on wet ground, falling several meters and striking his head against a rock.
His companions promptly alerted the emergency services, who responded with a rescue helicopter from Trento. However, access to the area proved challenging due to the difficult terrain. A healthcare worker was lowered to the site of the accident, but unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done: the doctor could only declare the climber’s death.
