A tragic event has struck the community of Desenzano as truck driver Enrico Bignotti, a fifty-year-old native of the city and resident of Castiglione delle Stiviere, was found dead on a ferry bound for Greece. The victim was on board the ship Florencia, which departed from Brindisi on December 26, when he suffered a sudden health crisis, likely a heart attack, which proved fatal. Bignotti’s lifeless body was discovered by the crew inside the cabin of his truck.
Despite the resuscitation efforts made by the onboard staff, all attempts were in vain. Currently, arrangements are being made for the repatriation of the body, which will subsequently be entrusted to the family.
