A brawl erupted on Easter night in Castiglione delle Stiviere, specifically between Sunday, April 20, and Monday, April 21, involving two men of Moroccan origin. The violent incident, which occurred around 3 AM, necessitated the immediate intervention of law enforcement and emergency medical services, with two ambulances and a patrol from the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Carabinieri dispatched to the scene to manage the situation.
During transport to the hospital, one of the individuals involved, a 22-year-old resident of the municipality, attempted to escape by opening the ambulance door. The intervening Carabinieri were attacked by the young man, who resisted arrest by kicking and punching, resulting in injuries to one officer, including trauma to the shoulder and lower back. After being subdued, the young man was arrested and taken to the Mantova detention center. During the subsequent validation hearing, the judge upheld the arrest and imposed a ban on residing in the province. The young man’s liability will be determined during the trial.
