From April 12th to 14th, 2024, the XVI edition of FIORInellaROCCA will take place at the Venetian Visconti fortress in Lonato del Garda (Brescia), a refined exhibition and market of rare plants and flowers that combines nature, art, and history.
The exhibition and market is one of the most anticipated events for enthusiasts in the industry, as it not only offers the opportunity to purchase rare plants and flowers but also to visit the picturesque Venetian Visconti fortress, which offers breathtaking views of the lower Garda basin. Additionally, visitors can explore the museum complex of the Ugo Da Como Foundation, which includes gardens and the Casa Museo del Podestà with recently restored polychrome facades.
The exhibitors at FIORInellaROCCA will present their novelties to make gardens and terraces enchanting. Perennial herbaceous plants, roses, peonies, aromatic and special horticultural plants, citrus fruits, olive trees, palm trees, geraniums, irises, lavender, clematis, aquatic plants, succulents, and much more will be available. In addition, there will be gazebos with outdoor furniture and accessories, garden decorations, and items for outdoor living.
For children, the Hortus Conclusus will be set up, an area dedicated to games, animations, and workshops on the theme of nature. Additionally, visitors can take a break at the Coffee-House della Rocca to enjoy a light and delicious lunch.
During the exhibition, it will also be possible to visit the Casa del Podestà, one of the most interesting Italian house-museums, which will host the exhibition “Nino Ferrari. The art of metal between tradition and modernity.” This exhibition will highlight the extraordinary production of objects created by Nino Ferrari, a great master of metalworking, engraving, and embossing on silver, copper, and pewter.
Furthermore, in the Sala del Capitano of the fortress, visitors can visit the exhibition “Piranesi | Basilico – Views of Rome,” which will compare Gabriele Basilico’s views of Rome with engravings by Giambattista Piranesi preserved in the Luigi Nocivelli Collection deposited at the Ugo Da Como Foundation.
The entrance ticket to the exhibition costs 5 euros (free for children under 14) and there is an additional 5 euro fee to visit the Casa del Podestà. Tickets can be purchased online at the website www.fiorinellarocca.it.
