A fire broke out in the early afternoon today, Sunday, November 24, at the ecological island on Via Battisti in Calvagese della Riviera, prompting the firefighters to intervene. The alert was raised around 12:30 PM when some residents spotted a thick column of smoke. In addition to the firefighters, technicians from ARPA, the carabinieri, local police, and emergency medical personnel from 118 also arrived at the scene to manage the situation.
This incident marks the second fire in this area within a month. Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries or intoxications. Preliminary investigations suggest that the flames may have originated beneath the roof of a shed used for storing tools, subsequently spreading to the surrounding containers.
