This morning, shortly before 7:50 AM, a fire broke out in a residence located on the first floor of a building that also houses Bar Sport in Bedizzole. The alert was raised by the local greengrocer, Paolo Berardi, who, noticing smoke coming from the roof, immediately contacted the emergency services and rushed to save his elderly aunt, who lived in the burning apartment. The woman, unaware of the danger despite hearing her cat meowing, was promptly rescued.
Three teams of firefighters responded to the scene, two from Brescia and one from Salò, working to ensure the safety of the area. The flames caused significant damage to the roof of the residence, but fortunately, there were no serious consequences for the other properties in the building. The cause of the fire is still under investigation; in the meantime, both Berardi and his cousin took steps to secure some gas cylinders and the car in the garage to prevent further risks.
