A **fire in Volta Mantovana** destroyed a farmhouse during the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, specifically in the Ferri area. The flames broke out around 4:30 AM, severely affecting the residence that housed two brothers, born in 1959 and 1967. Despite the extensive damage to the structure, the residents managed to escape before help arrived. The prompt intervention of the firefighters from Castiglione delle Stiviere and the central station in Mantova helped contain the blaze, but the house was completely destroyed.
Carabinieri from Gazoldo degli Ippoliti, Castiglione delle Stiviere, and Volta Mantovana also responded to the scene to manage the situation. The two brothers sustained minor burns and signs of smoke inhalation; they were transported to Mantova hospital in yellow code, but their lives were not in danger.
