The Garda Cycle Path was recently presented in Val di Ledro during a meeting chaired by the President of the Province, Maurizio Fugatti, alongside Luciano Martorano and Francesco Misdaris. It was announced that the first section, which runs from the Panda tunnel to the Sperone beach, will be completed in the spring of 2025. For Functional Unit 2, which extends from Sperone beach to the Ponale mouth, design changes are planned to enhance road safety, alternating tunnel sections with scenic routes along the lake. The estimated cost for this segment is around 11 million euros.
During the meeting, in addition to the cycle path, other significant projects in the municipality of Ledro were discussed. These include plans for securing intersections on the S.S. 240 and creating an access road to the industrial area in Tiarno di Sotto. These interventions aim to ensure protected pathways for pedestrians and improve the coexistence of vehicle and pedestrian traffic, thereby contributing to increased safety levels in the affected areas.
