Recently, the president of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti, made statements regarding the future of the Garda Cycle Path. In response to the choices made by other regions, such as Brescia, which have opted for intermodality with boats in the stretch between Gardone Riviera and Limone, Fugatti assured that “the Autonomous Province of Trento continues with its own projects” to realize its portion of the cycle path. He emphasized that the interventions are planned with “the utmost attention to safety and environmental compatibility,” highlighting the importance of ongoing dialogue with the local administrations involved.
In particular, the president mentioned the recent handover of construction sites for the stretch from the Limniadi Tunnel to the Titans Tunnel, noting that the ongoing projects take into account the interactions with the various territories. The adopted strategy aims to ensure a harmonious integration between infrastructural development and landscape protection, reaffirming the commitment to sustainable mobility in the region.
