The Garda Karate Team achieved a prestigious third place at the third stage of the 15th Trofeo Lombardia, held on Sunday, March 9, at the sports hall in Cornaredo, Milan. The competition featured 43 teams and a total of 713 athletes, who competed across various categories, from children to adults. The athletes from Garda fielded an impressive 58 participants, taking part in events including obstacle courses, balloon competitions, kumite, and kata in parakarate.
The day concluded with an excellent haul for the ASD Gardesana: the athletes secured 21 gold medals, 15 silver medals, and 14 bronze medals. Furthermore, the team ranked first in the youth category for the obstacle-balloon event and second in parakarate. This achievement represents a significant recognition of the hard work put in by the athletes and coaches, some of whom had just returned from a trip to Hungary.
