Yesterday, Thursday, January 16, the first operational meeting of the steering committee for the “Garda Unico” project took place in Peschiera del Garda. The main objective of this initiative is to enhance the Lake Garda area as a unified tourist destination, aiming to strengthen its competitiveness in international markets through the “Garda” brand. The meeting was attended by the tourism assessors from the three involved regions: Barbara Mazzali for Lombardy, Federico Caner for Veneto, and Roberto Failoni for the Autonomous Province of Trento. During the meeting, projects were discussed to develop an integrated digital ecosystem that collects data to improve the tourist offering and marketing strategies.
The project includes an initial investment of 900,000 euros, shared among the three regional entities, with a strong focus on sustainable tourism. The initiative aims to transcend regional boundaries and address the global challenges facing the tourism sector, with the goal of making the lake a leading international reference for high-quality tourism offerings. With over 27 million annual visitors, Lake Garda remains one of the most visited destinations in Italy, and this collaboration seeks to further enhance local specificities through events and targeted initiatives for sustainable mobility.
