A gasoline spill has been detected in the Madonna del Rio stream in Salò, following a leak from an underground tank. ARPA Lombardia technicians responded at the request of the Fire Brigade after a strong smell of fuel was reported in the area of Via dei Colli. It is suspected that the incident may be linked to a service station located near the Strada Statale 45 bis Gardesana Occidentale.
The relevant authorities, including municipal personnel and the responsible oil company, are taking measures to contain the pollution of surface waters and are conducting sampling to analyze the situation.
