Geological and seismic surveys have commenced on the SP9 in Gargnano, following the landslides that struck the area on September 9. The bad weather caused two significant landslides at kilometers 13+000 and 12+200, along with several minor slips. Technical surveys are scheduled for Tuesday, followed by drilling on Wednesday and Thursday, to assess the necessary intervention methods.
In the meantime, a portion of the road from kilometer 13+550 (near Casello Vecchio) to kilometer 19+000 has been reopened to vehicular traffic, allowing access for the inspectors of the Valvestino dam as well. The stretch from kilometer 9+500 to kilometer 13+550 remains closed. All users, including pedestrians and cyclists, are advised to carefully follow safety instructions.
