October 22, 2024, marks the beginning of a busy week for the writer and journalist from L’Aquila, Goffredo Palmerini. The author, known for his connection to Lake Garda, will be involved in cultural events taking place in Desenzano del Garda, Milan, and Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro.
Book Presentation in Desenzano
The first event will take place on October 23 at 6 PM at the “Angelo Anelli” Civic Library in Villa Brunati, Desenzano. Here, Palmerini will present his latest book titled “Ti racconto così,” published by One Group Edizioni. The event is organized at the invitation of Mayor Guido Malinverno as part of the “Parole tra Noi” project, promoted by the Brescia and Cremona Library Network. This marks a welcome return for Palmerini to the lakeside town, where he has previously presented three other works.
Reflections on Lake Garda
Palmerini has often shared his impressions of the beauties of Lake Garda in his writings and articles. The Brescia coast, including towns like Gardone, Salò, Manerba, and Sirmione, has received particular attention in an extensive feature published in the American magazine i-Italy, directed by Letizia Airos, which has a significant readership in the United States.
International Award in Milan
After his engagement in Desenzano, Palmerini will move to Milan on October 25 to participate in the XI International Excellence Award “Città del Galateo”, dedicated to the great Salentine humanist Antonio de Ferrariis. The award ceremony will be held at the Girardi Hall of the PIME Center. On this occasion, Palmerini will serve as the Jury President alongside distinguished figures such as Francesco Lenoci, Pierfranco Bruni, and Hafez Haidar.
Cultural Mission in Montenegro
The following day, on October 26, a delegation from the cultural association VerbumlandiArt will depart from Milan Malpensa headed to Podgorica for a cultural cooperation mission between Italy and Montenegro. This delegation will include notable figures such as Regina Resta (president), Mirella Cristina (lawyer), Graziano Perria (former deputy police chief), and other significant members of the association.
The delegation will be received by the Italian Ambassador in Podgorica, Andreina Marsella, on October 28 at 10 AM. On the same day, they will also participate in the Honor Evening at the Dodest Theatre in the Montenegrin capital. This event will feature significant participation from local artists and representatives of Montenegrin culture.
In addition to the official meetings scheduled with local authorities in the Montenegrin capital, the delegation will have the opportunity to visit the Palace of King Nikola in Cetinje before their return to Milan on October 29.
