An afternoon of fear turned into heroism at the Jamaica facility in Sirmione, on Lake Garda. On Monday, July 1st, around 5pm, a sudden storm hit the area. The waves on the lake, over a meter high, endangered a boat with two families on board, four adults and three children.
The lifeguard at the facility noticed the boat in distress and dove into the choppy waters. He reached the boat and, with the help of the kiosk staff, rescued the children first and then the adults. His quick and decisive action prevented the boat from crashing into the rocks.
