This morning, January 9, a serious highway accident occurred on the A4, specifically between the toll booths of Verona Sud and Verona Est, heading towards Venice. A vehicle entered the highway in the wrong direction, causing panic among drivers. Two motorists, suddenly confronted by the oncoming vehicle, were unable to avoid it, resulting in a total of three vehicles being involved in the incident.
Two people sustained injuries and were promptly transported by the Suem 118 to Borgo Trento Hospital; one of the injured was classified as yellow code and the other as red code, but fortunately, neither is in life-threatening condition. The accident caused significant traffic delays, with long queues affecting the area throughout the morning.
