On the evening of Thursday, March 6, a hotel theft shook Castelnuovo sul Garda, leading to the arrest of a 30-year-old Albanian woman. The incident occurred at the Hotel Dorè, where the woman stole a mobile phone and a handbag before fleeing through the streets of the town center. The quick action of the receptionist, who immediately raised the alarm, allowed the Carabinieri from the Peschiera del Garda Company to intervene swiftly.
Thanks to a prompt investigation, the officers were able to locate the suspect at the residence of another individual already known to law enforcement. During the search, cash and stolen valuables were recovered and returned to their rightful owner. The woman was placed under house arrest pending a fast-track trial the following day, during which a precautionary measure was imposed requiring her to report to the judicial police. A new trial is scheduled for April.
