A plan worth **18.5 million euros** has been approved by the Lombardy Regional Council to fund **33 projects** aimed at combating hydrogeological instability across ten provinces, including significant contributions for the municipalities of **Toscolano Maderno** and **Limone sul Garda**. This program is part of a broader initiative that anticipates the allocation of over **34 million euros in 2024**, in response to recent severe weather events that have caused considerable damage, including landslides and flooding.
The funds will be allocated to essential works for the safety of citizens and the protection of the environment. Among the planned interventions, notable projects include the securing of the Valle Pura stream in Limone sul Garda with an investment of **595,214 euros**, and the completion of works on the landslide in Valle delle Camerate in Toscolano Maderno for an amount of **400,000 euros**. Regional representatives have emphasized the importance of these initiatives as part of the ongoing commitment of the Region to address the challenges posed by hydrogeological instability in Lombardy.
