A new exhibition showcasing drawings created by students has been inaugurated in the Sala degli Specchi in Lonato del Garda as part of the educational project “Less Waste, More Eco – Tips for Reducing Kitchen Waste.” This initiative aims to raise awareness among children and families about the importance of mindful food management.
The twelve most representative drawings have been selected to illustrate the months of the year in the new Ecocalendar 2025, which will be distributed in 7,000 copies throughout the municipality. This serves as a tangible form of student participation in environmental issues, blending education with creativity.
The exhibition and the ecocalendar are part of a broader educational initiative promoted by the municipality in collaboration with the Comprehensive Institute. Ongoing activities include “walks with the agronomist,” projects with “Guardia 1,” outings with the “CAI,” and the “Adopt a Park” initiative, which has engaged preschool, primary, and secondary schools in the care and cleaning of public parks. These activities are complemented by other programs focused on environmental respect and order in public spaces.
During the presentation, the environmental assessor Cristian Simonetti emphasized the importance of the collaboration with school staff: “A special thanks goes to teachers Irene Dusi, Elisa Gavelli, and vice principal Donatella Corvaglia for their constant collaboration and dedication in realizing these projects.”
