In Terno d’Isola, in the province of Bergamo, searches were conducted to find the murder weapon in the case of Sharon Verzeni’s homicide, which occurred nearly a month ago. Volunteers from the Museo Recuperanti (Mu.Re.) in Toscolano Maderno, led by Paolo Campanardi, known for the “Metal Detective” program on Discovery, inspected around one hundred manholes and bushes in the area where the stabbing took place. Using a magnet attached to a red rope, they attempted to recover a possible knife used by the killer.
The operations also focused on a public park and a nearby school shed. Campanardi stated that the team is collaborating with the local law enforcement agencies, but it is not possible to provide details on the developments of the investigation. This is not the group’s first intervention; they have previously participated in similar searches, including one related to the murder of Professor Gianna Del Gaudio in 2016.
