The Municipality of Arco has recently announced the call for entries for the twentieth edition of the literary contest “Stories of Women”, inviting authors to submit short stories that explore the experiences and dreams of the female world. Works must be submitted by March 31, 2025, and can participate in two sections: a general one with a free theme, and a special section dedicated to the themes of addiction and gender-based violence, promoted in collaboration with the San Pancrazio Hospital.
The stories must be unpublished and not exceed 9,000 characters. Prizes for the best submissions include gift vouchers for Mondadori bookstores, with an awards ceremony scheduled for May 24, 2025, at the Palazzo dei Panni. This contest is an important initiative by the civic library “Bruno Emmert,” aimed at giving voice to women’s stories and addressing relevant issues for contemporary society.
