The community of Lonato is mourning the passing of entrepreneur Ferruccio Scarpella, who died at the age of 71 due to an illness. Scarpella was well-known for his political engagement as a city councilor during the Bocchio and Tardani administrations. He resided in the district of San Cipriano and held significant roles, including responsibility for urban decor and green spaces. Recently, he had run again in the latest elections with the civic list “Obiettivo Lonato.”
The social media group shared a touching message in his memory: “Goodbye Ferruccio. We will carry with us the memory of your overwhelming energy and love for your town.” The funeral will take place today, Tuesday, December 10, with the final farewell scheduled for 3 PM at the Basilica of San Giovanni Battista in Lonato.
