On the weekend of May 18th and 19th, the Leone Shopping Center in Lonato will host events dedicated to physical and mental well-being, with a particular focus on prevention and sports.
On Saturday, May 18th, the “Dona un SorRISO” initiative will take place in collaboration with the Brescia Oncology Association. From 9 am to 6:30 pm, funds will be raised in the area in front of the Hypermarket cash registers to support the association’s projects through the sale of bags of Vialone Nano rice for a minimum donation of 8 euros. The proceeds will be used for various charitable activities, including nursing care at the Oncology Department of the Brescia Civil Hospitals, support for patients and their families during Day Hospital treatments, and the maintenance of the “Casa Emilia Lucchini” facility, which provides free accommodation for cancer patients and their families.
Sunday, May 19th, will be dedicated to sports with two main initiatives. From 2 pm to 7 pm, in collaboration with the Aquile di Lonato del Garda Basketball Foundation, basketball courts will be set up for tournaments for children in the outdoor area on the first floor. At the same time, from 3 pm to 7 pm, on the same outdoor first floor area, the “Olimpiadi del Leone” (Lion Olympics) organized by Il Festaiolo will take place within the inflatable park. Children will have the opportunity to participate in various fun and sports activities such as inflatable obstacle courses in the 50-meter dash, human foosball, and strength competitions in punching and strong kicking.
Admission to the inflatable park will be charged; however, IO&IL Leone app holders will be entitled to a discount on entry.
