Major accident in Calcinato: ten injured in a chain collision. On Saturday, October 19, just before 9 PM, five cars were involved in a serious incident along the SP668 at the border between Montichiari and Lonato, caused by a failure to yield. Both local and highway police, as well as firefighters from Desenzano, responded to the scene to assist the injured.
The rescue operations included the arrival of a medical car, five ambulances, and an air ambulance. A woman required prolonged resuscitation at the accident site and was urgently transported to the Civile Hospital in Brescia in critical condition. Fortunately, a seven-month pregnant woman was unharmed. Other individuals were admitted in yellow code to the Poliambulanza hospital.
