REDUCTION OF TARI TAX COMING TO MANERBA FOR FAMILIES AND BUSINESSES
The Municipal Administration led by Mayor Flaviano Mattiotti has adopted a significant budget measure aimed at reducing the tax burden on local citizens and businesses. The measure will result in a reduction in TARI rates, using a portion of the proceeds from the municipal tourist tax, thus alleviating the burden of waste management fees on taxpayers.
This decision will cancel out the increases projected by Istat for the TARI tax in 2024, ensuring an overall savings of approximately €150,000 compared to 2023. Specifically, the savings will average from 3% to 7% for families, while for businesses, depending on the different production categories, the reduction in rates will range from 1% to 7%.
It is important to note that the bonus will be automatically applied to all those entitled to it, without the need for specific procedures by taxpayers.
Presenting the initiative, Mayor Flaviano Mattiotti explained that: “The decision to reduce the TARI tax is not mandatory and was autonomously taken by the Municipality of Manerba del Garda, in the absence of a specific implementing decree from the Government or other higher authorities. Reducing this tax was made possible through a new interpretation of the regulations by ARERA, the Authority for Energy Networks and the Environment, which we have been able to exploit to the fullest to grant our citizens these important benefits.”
