Severe weather hit Lake Garda: a motorboat drifted for over two kilometers due to strong winds on Monday morning, August 26, 2024, near Rivoltella. The vessel broke free from its moorings off the San Francesco campsite, and the owner attempted to bring it back but was thrown into the water while trying to start the engine. Fortunately, he managed to return to shore safe and sound.
The motorboat eventually reached the port of Rivoltella, where it ran aground between the gravel and a wooden walkway. The intervention of the Local Police and Civil Protection helped secure the vessel. The damages were significant, as it appeared that the boat was brand new.
