On May 4, 2025, municipal elections will take place to elect new mayors in various municipalities, including those in the Trentino Garda area. The decree signed by the President of the Region, Arno Kompatscher, stipulates that polling stations will be open from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with a possible runoff scheduled for May 18, 2025. On election day, in addition to voting for mayors, there will also be rallies for the direct election of district councils in the municipalities of Trento and Bolzano.
The municipalities involved in the Trentino Garda area include Arco, Drena, Dro, Ledro, Nago-Torbole, Riva del Garda, and Tenno. Candidates will be able to submit their applications from Friday, March 14, to Tuesday, March 18, 2025, by 12:00 PM, excluding Sunday, March 16. These elections represent an important democratic moment for the citizens of the province of Trento, with a total of 157 municipalities voting.
