The Regional Administrative Court has rejected the appeal filed by former mayoral candidates from Sirmione, Marcello Bertoldi and Roberto Campagnola, concerning the election of Mayor Lavelli. Despite reports of some irregularities at the polling stations, such as an unsealed ballot box and discrepancies between the number of ballots cast and the actual number of voters, the court determined that these irregularities did not compromise “the authenticity and reliability of the electoral outcome.”
The court’s decision came after months of anticipation and led Lavelli to express satisfaction with the confirmation of the elections’ legitimacy. The mayor emphasized that this ruling serves as an encouragement to continue working diligently for the community, maintaining an approach grounded in transparency, accountability, and participation.
