In Desenzano, the installation of new traffic control gates in the historic center is planned. This initiative, announced by Deputy Mayor Stefano Medioli, aims to combat unauthorized entries into the limited traffic zone (ZTL) through cameras capable of reading vehicle license plates in real time. These cameras will allow for the verification of access exclusively for authorized vehicles, such as those for loading and unloading goods and residents’ vehicles.
The automatic system will be connected to a database that will identify any violations and facilitate the issuance of fines. The project will require an investment of at least 250,000 euros, and the details regarding the positioning of the cameras will be defined in the coming months, with implementation expected by next year.
