In Desenzano, the installation of new checkpoints for traffic control in the historic center is planned, aiming to reduce unauthorized entries into the restricted traffic zone (ZTL). This initiative, announced by Deputy Mayor Stefano Medioli, will involve cameras capable of reading vehicle license plates and verifying whether drivers possess the necessary permits to access the center during specific time slots.
The automated system, which will require an investment of at least 250,000 euros, will allow for the identification of irregularities through a dedicated database and the issuance of fines to offenders. Details regarding the location of the cameras and the operation of the system will be finalized by the end of the year.
