The Paper Museum of Toscolano Maderno is set to reopen on March 29, unveiling significant changes in its management. Professor Antonio Foglio, a renowned scholar and respected figure in the cultural field, has been appointed president of the Valle delle Cartiere Foundation by Mayor Chiara Chimini, succeeding the mayor herself. The new direction of the museum is entrusted to Dr. Serena Goldoni, who replaces the resigned Silvia Merigo. Goldoni, with substantial experience in the museum sector, will be responsible for steering a new course for the institution dedicated to the historic paper production.
In preparation for the reopening, the museum is developing an extensive program for 2025, which includes educational and cultural initiatives such as workshops, concerts, and family shows. Among the upcoming exhibitions is a showcase dedicated to Albano Morandi. In 2024, the museum has already recorded over 10,600 visitors and significant interest from schools, reaffirming its importance as a cultural attraction in the region.
