Participation in the municipal elections for European Union citizens residing in Salò
For the municipal elections on June 8th and 9th, 2024, European Union citizens residing in Italy who wish to exercise their right to vote must submit an application to be included in the electoral list. This is stipulated by Legislative Decree no. 197 of April 12th, 1996.
The application must be submitted in person or sent via certified email to protocollo@pec.comune.salo.bs.it or by registered mail to the following address: Comune di Salò (Bs) – Ufficio elettorale – Lungolago Zanardelli n. 55 – 25087 Salò (Bs).
If submitted in person, the signature on the application does not require authentication in the presence of the responsible employee. If sent by mail, the application must be accompanied by an uncertified copy of a valid identification document of the applicant.
The application must declare:
– Citizenship;
– Residence and address in the country of origin;
– Residence or request for registration in the population registry of the municipality.
Starting from April 15th, 2024, an online submission service is also available through the reserved area of the ANPR portal at the address https://www.anagrafenazionale.interno.it. European Union citizens can therefore request inclusion in the municipal electoral lists through this service.
If the request is approved, the name will be included in a specific additional list. A personal voter card will be issued, which will allow voting at the designated polling station upon presentation of a valid identification document.
