The municipality of Tignale has issued strict prohibitions on all activities related to windsurfing, bathing, scuba diving, and fishing in the area known as “Pra dela Fam.” This ordinance, communicated today, January 21, by the Garda Lake Coast Guard under number 4 of 21/01/2025, was enacted following the discovery of suspected explosive devices on the lakebed of Benaco. The restrictions also encompass access to adjacent land areas.
The bans will remain in effect until the completion of the operations to locate and safely dispose of the devices, which are expected to take place in the coming days. The Coast Guard has advised strict adherence to the ordinance to ensure the safety of navigation and the well-being of individuals in the area.
