A new public transport strike has been announced for the weekend of July 6th and 7th, affecting both trains and buses. The nationwide protest is likely to cause significant disruptions in the Lake Garda area as well.
Starting from 9 PM on Saturday until 9 PM on the following Sunday, the staff of major Italian railway companies such as Gruppo Fs Italiane, Trenitalia, Trenord, and Italo will go on strike. Delays and cancellations are expected on various routes during this period, including regional services and high-speed trains. Not only during the strike itself, but also before and after its official duration, service disruptions may occur.
Impact on bus services
The bus service operated by Brescia Trasporti will be affected by the strike mainly between 5 PM and 9 PM on Sunday. Temporary schedule changes are also expected, extending half an hour before the start and half an hour after the end of the strike. It is important to note that no guaranteed time slots will be provided throughout the duration of the protest.
