The municipal administration has initiated the collection of applications for the title of “historical shop, establishment, and craft activity,” with a deadline set for May 19, 2025. Detailed information and the regulations are available on the official website of the Municipality, while applications must be submitted to the Protocol Office. Giovanni Grasso, the Councilor for Productive Activities, clarified that the recognition is intended for commercial entities that have been active for at least 30 years, divided into three categories based on longevity: between 30 and 40 years, between 40 and 50 years, and between 50 and 60 years.
Businesses that meet these criteria and maintain the same type of merchandise under the management of family members will receive a metal plaque and will be included in the Register of Historical Shops of the Municipality. Mayor Enrico Volpi emphasized that this initiative aims to enhance the city’s commercial tradition in a context where direct relationships play a crucial role in the development of the community.
