A meeting took place in the afternoon of Friday, February 7 at the municipality of Riva del Garda, involving Apt Garda Dolomiti, Mayor Cristina Santi, Sports Councillor Lorenzo Pozzer, and Marco Torboli, sole director of Apm. The focus of the discussion was the search for a new location for the 2025 edition of the Bike Festival, following the announcement from the owners of the “Ex Cattoi” area regarding the unavailability of the space. The municipal administration expressed strong interest in ensuring the event takes place, as it is vital for Alto Garda tourism, which in 2024 saw participation from 380 international brands and approximately 80,000 visitors.
During the meeting, the activation of a technical working group was proposed, starting on Monday, February 10, with the aim of finding a suitable solution that meets the needs of both exhibitors and local residents. The General Director of Apt, Oskar Schwazer, emphasized that the Bike Festival is a crucial event for the growth of tourism in the region and significantly contributes to the local economy, generating over 6 million euros in economic impact.
