Riva del Garda will host the screening of the film “Vermiglio,” winner of the Silver Lion at the 81st Venice International Film Festival and selected for the 2025 Oscars. The screenings will take place on Thursday, October 24 at 9 PM and Sunday, October 27 at 8 PM, at the cinema hall of the Alto Garda and Ledro Community on Via Rosmini. Tickets are priced at 7 euros for full admission and 5 euros for reduced admission, with the box office opening half an hour before the start of the screenings.
The film, directed by Maura Delpero, tells the story of a family during the final year of World War II, exploring themes of loss and rebirth through the narrative of a soldier seeking refuge. Filming took place in various locations across Trentino, including Vermiglio and the Tonale Pass. The event is organized by the Alto Garda and Ledro Valley Community in collaboration with the local municipalities, under the artistic direction of the Trentino Theatrical Coordination.
