A new branch of the Rovereto anti-violence center has been inaugurated in Riva del Garda, adding to the existing centers in Cles and Cavalese, as well as the main center in Trento. This initiative is part of the provincial strategy to enhance anti-violence services, as announced by President Maurizio Fugatti. The resolution approved by the provincial government aims to protect women who are victims of violence and promote their autonomy by introducing personalized pathways to help them escape violent situations.
The measure includes a revision of the agreement with the Coordinamento Donne Onlus Association, which is responsible for managing the center. To this end, over 83,000 euros have been allocated to support the local service, which will have a maximum eligible amount for management of up to 666,338.80 euros until December 31, 2026, with the possibility of renewal. The goal is to ensure easier access to anti-violence services for women in distress in the area.
