A road accident occurred this morning, Monday the 24th, at 9:40 AM on Strada Granda in Torbole sul Garda, where two elderly women, aged 77 and 80, were struck by a concrete mixer. The heavy vehicle was maneuvering near a construction site when the two women became trapped under the truck’s axle. The firefighters from Riva del Garda quickly intervened to rescue them.
The victims’ conditions appeared to be serious right away; both were transported in critical condition to Santa Chiara Hospital in Trento via air ambulance. Ambulances with medical personnel and carabinieri were also present at the scene to manage the situation and ensure the safety of the area.
