A serious road accident occurred on the Alto Garda yesterday, Sunday, December 15, along the State Road 240 near Nago. The alert was triggered around 11 AM when two vehicles collided violently, resulting in the near-total destruction of one of the vehicles involved. The incident required the immediate intervention of medical personnel, firefighters, and law enforcement, with an air ambulance called to the scene to ensure rapid assistance.
Among the drivers involved, a 53-year-old man was trapped in the wreckage of the cabin due to the impact. Firefighters used hydraulic cutters to extricate him and transported him urgently in red code to the hospital in Trento. After completing the necessary investigations and restoring safety to the road, vehicle traffic was resumed in the afternoon.
