This morning, in Tremosine, the detonation of 70 cubic meters of rock was carried out on a precarious cliff overhanging a tunnel along the Forra Road, on the provincial road SP 38. This intervention was necessary to ensure road safety in an area previously compromised by a landslide that occurred on December 16, 2023, which had already caused traffic disruptions. The technicians used 300 kilograms of explosives and will monitor the area 24/7 to assess stability following the operation.
Local authorities, including the President of the Province Emanuele Moraschini and Mayor Battista Girardi, emphasized the importance of this intervention as a first step towards reopening the road, which is crucial for the region’s economy and tourism. The monitoring in the coming days will be vital to evaluate any further work needed to ensure user safety and restore normal traffic conditions in the area.
