After thirty years of waiting, the tender for the completion of the Rovizza interchange, located between Sirmione, Pozzolengo, and Peschiera, has been published. The project, approved on September 12, involves works valued at 2.4 million euros and the creation of a new municipal road approximately 385 meters long, along with a roundabout. The construction site is set to open by the end of the year and is expected to be completed within 300 days.
This intervention marks a significant turning point for the area’s traffic, addressing the issues related to a “partial interchange” that forced drivers to take complex routes. The mayors of Sirmione and Pozzolengo have expressed their satisfaction with the upcoming realization of the project, which is deemed crucial for improving access to Lake Garda and ensuring greater safety on the roads.
