Today, November 22, an important conference will take place in Salò to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the 2004 earthquake, which affected the Garda and Valsabbia regions. The event, organized by the local administration in collaboration with the Order of Engineers of Brescia and the University of Brescia, will be held in the Hall of the Provveditori. The day will be divided into two sessions: the first in the morning will focus on architectural aspects with the support of the Order of Architects, while the afternoon will address engineering and structural issues, showcasing analyses and repairs of the damages suffered in Salò in 2004.
In the evening, at 8:45 PM, there will be a meeting titled “20 Years Since the Earthquake: Between Memory and Reflection,” open to the public. During this meeting, key figures from the events of 2004 will share their personal experiences, highlighting the importance of a culture of civil protection and prevention strategies. This conference represents a significant opportunity to reflect on the lessons learned and to improve safety practices within the local community.
