In the afternoon of April 18th, the Alpine Group of San Felice del Benaco made a gesture of solidarity and affection towards the young patients of the Pediatric Oncology and Hematology Department at the Hospital of Brescia.
Accompanied by Mayor Simone Zuin, the members of the Alpine Group brought the warmth of the community and a tangible sign of support: a cap, symbolizing protection and comfort, which we hope will bring some joy to the children as they battle against illness.
Alongside the Alpini, the 6 Luglio Association of San Felice del Benaco also participated. Founded in memory of Giorgia by her parents Diego and Silvia, the association donated a book of fairy tales written entirely by children, with the intention of providing a moment of entertainment and imagination for the young patients, making their stay in the hospital a little lighter.
The 6 Luglio Association was created with the aim of commemorating Giorgia’s memory and, at the same time, raising funds to support children in need, giving them a smile whenever possible.
Mayor Zuin emphasized the importance of these acts of solidarity that bring the community together and demonstrate the generous heart of San Felice del Benaco. “It is touching to see how our community comes together for those in need, showing the strength of solidarity and kindness,” said the Mayor.
The meeting was made even more meaningful by the participation and warm welcome from the medical and nursing staff at the Hospital of Brescia, particularly Dr. Fulvio Porta, the Head of Department, who gratefully and affectionately received the donations and the presence of the delegation from San Felice del Benaco.
