The mayor of Lonato, Roberto Tardani, recently provided an update to citizens regarding the safety of the area. In his statement, he reassured that the law enforcement agencies are actively collaborating to plan targeted control services, especially during the most critical hours to prevent thefts. Tardani emphasized that current data do not indicate an increase in suspicious activities compared to previous years, but with the arrival of daylight saving time and the consequent shortening of days, greater vigilance is anticipated.
The synergy between the local Carabinieri Station and the Municipal Police Force also includes the sharing of service reports and the management of surveillance systems. There are plans to implement systems for license plate recognition to monitor suspicious or stolen vehicles, which are often linked to thefts in the area.
