On the Brescia side of Lake Garda, a fuel supply facility and over 4,000 liters of petroleum product have been seized. The operation was carried out by the military police of the Guardia di Finanza in collaboration with the Desenzano del Garda Company, who found administrative violations of the authorization requirements set by the laws of the Lombardy region.
The seizure came as a result of a preliminary risk analysis conducted by the Guardia di Finanza, which identified a fuel dispenser for nautical use with potential issues regarding authorization and environmental matters. The military police then conducted a thorough inspection of the distributor’s position, uncovering significant deficiencies.
The irregularities found mainly concern the absence of the authorizations required by Lombardy regional law for the trade and distribution of fuel. The distributor’s operator had neglected important structural work and safety measures for the facility, which were necessary to obtain the authorization to operate the business.
As a result of the violations identified, a precautionary seizure of the facility and the present fuel has been ordered, along with an administrative fine ranging from €20,000 to €80,000.
