A serious accident occurred in the early afternoon of Thursday, November 7, along the A22 motorway, near the Affi interchange. A van and a heavy vehicle were involved in a violent collision that required a massive rescue operation. The two vehicles reportedly collided around 1 PM, causing significant traffic disruptions, with long queues and considerable delays.
The fire brigades from Avio and Trento responded to free the 55-year-old driver of the van, who was trapped in the wreckage. After being extricated, the man was transported in critical condition to Verona hospital via air ambulance. Meanwhile, the highway police secured the area and conducted the necessary investigations to clarify the dynamics of the accident.
