Lake Garda is getting ready to host the 25th edition of the “Sirmione in Scena” festival, an event that promises performances, workshops, and artistic performances to entertain audiences of all ages. Thanks to the collaboration between the Municipality of Sirmione and the Corniani family, this annual event has become a reference point for lovers of puppet theater.
Maurizio Corniani, the artistic director of the festival, emphasized the historical importance of the event: “The happy intuition of the then councilor Giordano Signori allowed us to host many theatrical performances of our company and other national and European companies in Sirmione.” The 2024 edition will be no different, with performances also coming from Germany and Switzerland.

A Festival Looking to the Future
In addition to celebrating its twenty-five years, “Sirmione in Scena” also marks the 80th anniversary of the Centro Teatrale Corniani. This historic family group continues to pass on the art of puppeteering, involving new generations. For Maurizio Corniani, the milestone is twofold as he also celebrates his fifty years in the theater industry, which began in 1974 alongside his father.
