The SP38 road “Tignalga” between Tremosine and Tignale has been reopened today with alternating one-way traffic. The closure was necessary for safety restoration works after some instability occurred in the area. The retaining wall supporting the slope has been completed ahead of schedule, allowing the road to be reopened during the Easter holidays.
However, on April 8th, the road will be closed again to allow for the completion of ongoing works. This intervention aims to ensure greater safety and stability for the road.
Paolo Fontana, the Councilor responsible for Transport and Roads, emphasized that this reopening represents a commitment to the local area. After the completed works on the SP115 in Vesio, now the SP38 can also be traveled again. This decision will benefit Easter tourism, allowing visitors to reach Tremosine from both Tignale and Limone.
